What happens when you stop Aygestin?
For the treatment of stopped menstrual periods and abnormal bleeding from the uterus, this drug is usually taken once daily for 5-10 days during the second half of the planned menstrual cycle or as directed by your doctor. Withdrawal bleeding usually occurs within 3-7 days after you stop taking the medication.

What is the difference between Aygestin and Provera?
Aygestin is also used to treat endometriosis, abnormal vaginal bleeding caused by a hormone imbalance, and to prevent endometrial hyperplasia in postmenopausal women who have not undergone a hysterectomy and are receiving conjugated estrogens. Provera is also used to treat endometrial or renal cancer.
Can you just stop taking norethindrone?
Norethindrone may control your condition but will not cure it. Continue to take norethindrone even if you feel well. Do not stop taking norethindrone without talking to your doctor.
Does norethindrone cause bloating?
Nausea, vomiting, headache, bloating, breast tenderness, or weight gain may occur. Vaginal bleeding between periods (spotting) or missed/irregular periods may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
Will I lose weight when I stop taking norethindrone?
Weight changes When you stop taking the hormonal birth control that caused these side effects, these changes will be reversed. However, if any weight gain or loss experienced while using birth control was not caused by the medication, stopping taking it will not result in any further changes to your body.
