What material is best for crossbow bolts?
Carbon fiber is the overall best choice for crossbow bolts but it is also the more expensive. It is incredibly durable and flies very well. Penetration is also much better with carbon fiber. We are partial to Carbon Express Maxima bolts, but there are many options.

Can you interchange crossbow bolt nocks?
You cannot shoot any other style of crossbow nock other than a capture nock if that is what your manufacturer specifies to use.
What grain bolt should I use?
A heavier bolt, at least 400 grains not including the head, will have better downrange energy and offer better penetration. Keep in mind that even though a bolt will leave the rail quickly, a heavier bolt will quickly lose power as it flies.
Can you use aluminum arrows in a crossbow?
Yes you can use aluminum arrows for your bow and should be fine as long as you follow a couple of guidelines. Use arrows of the 22## size like 2219 or 2216 and make sure that your total arrow weight is within your bows recommended minimum arrow weight.
