What happened to Auberdine?
Auberdine was destroyed by the upheaval caused by Deathwing’s return in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, and is known as the Ruins of Auberdine. A new night elf encampment, Lor’danel, in northern Darkshore has replaced Auberdine as the primary base of operations.
Where do Auberdine boats go?
Getting there Alliance:The dock in Auberdine connects to Darnassus and Menethil Harbor in the Wetlands. From one of these ports, simply get on the correct boat (talk to the NPC at the dock to learn which it is) to get to Darkshore.

There is a portal west of the bank in Darnassus that takes you to the Night Elf port, Rut’theran Village. (The portal looks like a hazy pink tent under a tree.) From there you can take a Boat to Stormwind.

Ships spend 1 minute at dock between arrival and departure. From there, it sails to the center (east) dock in Auberdine, Darkshore, /way 30.8 41.0.

Above the “T” in Temple Gardens on a map of Darnassus is a tree. Underneath this tree is a purple glowing area. Entering this will cause you to teleport to Rut’Theran village. In Rut’Theran village you’ll see a similar tree you can use to teleport back.
Is there a portal room in Darnassus?
Technically, there are three portals in Darnassus. However, if you are talking specifically about mage portals, there are two portals located on the bottom floor of the Temple of the Moon. One portal takes you to Blasted Lands, and the other portal takes you to Exodar.
