Why is it called LINDOR?
The Lindt Master Chocolatiers wanted to create something heavenly to lift customers’ spirits after the war. They set to work experimenting with chocolate recipes until, in 1949, they came across a chocolate so luxuriously smooth it could be compared to melted gold. It was named LINDOR.
What is LINDOR made of?
The Shell. Essentially, Lindor is a chocolate truffle. Made by creating a hollow chocolate shell by placing fine, tempered Lindt chocolate into a mould which is then spun around on its axis to coat the inside. The chocolate cools and sets to create a delicate shell – ready to hold the smooth, melting filling.
