Can I set data limits on AT?
Note: Smart Limits can be used to limit/restrict texting and data usage on most AT mobile devices, but cannot be used to set specific monthly limits for minutes or MMS messages.
What happened to ATT Smart Limits?
AT is sunsetting its parent control Smart Limits app and replacing it with a new app called Secure Family. The new app will be available November 26th, and includes new features like location tracking, time limits, and content filtering. The upgraded version lets users monitor up to 10 lines for $7.99 a month.
What is AT Smart Limits?
You can also restrict device usage by setting up a Smart Schedule. It will lock the device and help you manage their time for homework, bedtime, etc. For Android & iOS devices, you can also use a location as a trigger of the schedule.
Is Smart Limits still available?
Smart Limits will no longer be available after that date. In its place, AT is launching AT Secure Family. The new app and service has more features, a simpler user interface, and lets parents manage more phones at a lower price.
How do I set parental controls on AT iPhone?
From the parent’s device:
- Select the child from the list of family members.
- Scroll down to Time Limits.
- Choose from: School hours or Night hours and adjust the recommended time limits. Add a time limit and set the days and times you want the custom time limit to go into effect.
- Tap Save.
How do I stop AT from adding more data?
As long as you stay on your plan, no there is no way to disable the automatic overage. You can, of course, either turn cellular data off on your phone or disable data through your account, but you can’t stop the automatic addition of 1GB if you go over. You might want to switch to one of the current plans.
