Does the Surface charge the Surface pen?
Microsoft unveiled a new Surface Slim Pen at its annual hardware event today, which slots into the top of the Surface Pro X Type Cover keyboard. The pen charges wirelessly when docked, replacing the AAAA batteries of the older models.
Can you charge a Microsoft Surface in a car?
In order to charge the Surface Pro 7 with USB-CTM power delivery in your vehicle, you could use a USB-CTM car charger, which plugs into the DC “cigarette lighter” port, and a USB-CTM to USB-CTM cable. Alternatively, you could use a USB-CTM wall charger and a DC to AC power inverter, like we mentioned previously.

Attaching the Surface Pen on the magnetized side of the Surface Pro does not charge the Surface Pen. The pen that comes with the Surface Pro 7 is the Surface Pen with no clip as shown on this page. Surface Pen with no clip has a AAAA battery inside that you can replaced if it runs out of battery.
Can you charge A Microsoft Surface with A power bank?
Surface devices will only charge with USB 2.0 or 3.0 compliant chargers. Chargers that provide 5 volts, 1.5 amps, or 7.5 watts can charge, but they’ll be so slow that they should be used only if there’s no other option. Low voltage USB A chargers with a USB A to USB-C cable won’t work at all.
